Sorrento – Falkland – Kamloops

I rode the Sorrento Kamloops Falkland clockwise on November 2. I took the fast bike (1985ish Concorde I paid $36 for) just for something different. I ran into icy road shoulders between Chase and Monte Creek, then had a few mechanicals on Barnhartvale — first a mirror that came loose, then a broken leather strap on my saddlebag (never leave home without zap straps), and finally a flat tire (bit of wire). Uneventful after that. Wind was more helpful than not. Sunny all day, temps from a low of +1C at Pritchard to +15C at Falkland. I added a couple of kms and some steep climbs avoiding the construction at Tappen. Overall time was 8:35. Not bad for a combined bike/rider age of over 100.
