It was a gorgeous day!
11 degrees at the start, with a high of 21 degrees.
It was very fun because I saw 2 other Randonneurs.
I saw Gary Baker on Yale Rd, just east of the Popkum roundabout. We were going in opposite directions so stopped and chatted on the road. He had just ridden with Ken Legg who was riding to see his daughter in Nelson or somewhere deep into BC. Cool!! Ken was an active Randonneur in the 2000s. Gary just ran into him on the Vedder Trail the day before…
About 10 minutes after seeing Gary, another old time Randonneur, Stuart Wood, came into my rear view mirror on Bridal Falls Rd. We road together for a few minutes and then I had to turn around. But it sure was fun to see other Randonneurs out riding…
No mechanicals, no flats.
